The pipe bands met in Skye again this year

During the day was entertainment for all

Pipe bands for everyone to enjoy

And bouncy castles for the kids

But night time is when the fun really began

After the last band played

We had a meal fit for royalty

Time to reflect and met old friends

The festival was a success

Much to our delight

Now it is time to celebrate

We are off the The Royal

To see if anyone has popped in

From the many bands that played today

Seems pretty quiet

We must have just missed them

On to the Tongadale

In search of some music

This too was pretty quiet

But not for long

A piper came in all raring to play

We brought our bongos and sticks with us

Fingers are itching to play

The walls were a humming with the sound of music

Our heartbeat was matching the beat of the bongos

Feeling the hum deep within 

Feet tapping to the rhythm

The sound of the pipes ringing in our ears

Drawing us in

Such a soulful sound

Takes me back in time

To yesteryear

We hear the sound of another piper out in the street

Pick up the bongos

And we go to investigate

Looks like the street part is well under way

Fill up your glasses in the pub

Come out and join us

There will be dancing this night

Smiling faces with a glint in their eyes

This is as it should be

The sound of music spilling out on to the street

Strip the willow is playing

People are pulling each other into the street

Laughter and swaying to the music

And people dancing in the street

Pipers walking around joining in on the fun

Then there were 4 pipers playing

And of course the bongos were still thumping

What a rush

This is the best part of the festival

When everyone gets together for a night of music
